The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahudin Uno targets to bring in an investment of IDR 1 trillion for the Singhasari Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Malang Regency in 2023-2024.
Sandiaga said the Singhasari SEZ would focus on developing the creative economy. It is expected to be an ecosystem to improve skills so as well as to create jobs. “We hope that this SEZ will also be able to provide upskilling and reskilling in skills improvements for our millennials and also to provide more employment opportunities,” he said.
